NCM: our commitment

Health and safety management, along with environmental management, are based on the implementation of management models, specifically created for our company’s own activities and processes.
In this regard, NCM is certified according to the standards of ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

We are committed to expanding our strategic vision by sharing our standards with stakeholders and other interested parties with the aim of creating a virtuous and effective common system.

Environment and ecological transition

The principles of respect for the environment by which we are inspired and which must be shared by our Supply Chain are:

ensuring a comprehensive process of identifying, assessing and managing environmental aspects and impacts, optimizing raw material and energy consumption, promoting renewable sources and minimising waste generation;
taking into account the operating environment and continuously verifying the effectiveness of processes;
promoting effective communication and participation within its organization in order to involve and receive support from all stakeholders by continuously informing them.

Activities

Photovoltaic plant: panels cover almost all the roofs of the production sites. Total energy produced: more than 5,750 MWh since the connection of the systems, for total CO2 emission savings of about 3,100 tons. These figures are equivalent to about 400,000 trees planted
Water savings thanks to an in-house custom-designed machine maintenance system that makes emulsion replacements much less frequent

Health and safety

The health and safety principles by which we are guided and which must be shared by our Supply Chain are:

continuously improving in order to zero accidents and injuries, prevent occupational diseases, and minimise any risk related to health and safety at work;
ensuring that the concept of safety becomes part of the Culture of each of our employees through internal and external communication tools, awareness, information and training initiatives;
ensuring a healthy and safe working environment for workers and anyone present on company sites, whether visitors or third-party firms;
raising awareness of every worker in reporting accidents or near misses so that they can be investigated and analysed in order to take appropriate corrective actions;
value workers' health by implementing welfare policies that promote health and well-being

Code of ethics

Our Code of Ethics formalizes the general principles and standards of behavior that should inspire the conduct of all those who, permanently or even temporarily, act in the interest or on behalf of NCM: shareholders, top management, employees, collaborators, customers, suppliers and partners.
